Extraordinary Board Leadership
The Riverdale School Foundation was incorporated on August 6, 1993. The sole purpose of the Foundation is to raise funds for and make distributions to Riverdale School District 51J. The Foundation is managed by its Board of Directors and its Executive Committee, composed of the President, Secretary and Treasurer(s).
In addition to their specific responsibilities, each Board Member is expected to uphold the following principles:
The Foundation does not set School District Policy. That function is reserved for the voters and their elected representatives, the Riverdale School District Board.
The ability to raise funds for the Riverdale School District is highly dependent on engendering community spirit within the broader Riverdale Community.
